After reviewing specific sets of
data regarding Americans holiday spending, the holidays is the most expensive
time of year. Every year Americans dish
out millions of dollars combined on Christmas gifts for their family and
friends. Although it may be ridiculous
to some, each year Americans spend almost 300 million dollars during the
holiday season. I do not feel as though
people spent too much or too little it’s all in their specific financial
preference. I personally believe that Christmas
and the holiday season should not be all about delivering and receiving gifts
it is about the time that is spent with your family and loved ones. Although
for others it is unfortunately about the materialistic items and belongings. I
would personally rather just have my family around enjoying everyone’s
company. Some people believe all that Christmas
is about is buying their loved ones gifts and spending hundreds of dollars just
to prove how much they love and care for each other. Some people also celebrate the holidays in
many different ways. Some may believe in
different religions and celebrate according to their religious beliefs but
others may celebrate traditionally with the Christmas tree and Santa Clause.
Money is a huge part in a successful holiday season but regardless of the money
and how much is spent, it should be about spending time with your friends and
family.
