Teens and Cell Phones

Many parents find that their teens are absolutely obsessed with their cellphones.  Everyday you see teens walking around the school hallways and out in public with their cell phones completely glued to their hands.  Without technology many teens say they would feel disconnected. Now, with Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, teens are constantly connected to the internet especially with the uproar of Smart phones in the past couple of years.  Everything is easier to get to and use, which makes teens want to be connected constantly.  For some, being obsessively connected comes with a price.  Many teens in this generation get distracted very easily by the simplest of circumstances. Having cell phones in school is always a controversy among students and their teachers.  Many students do not feel as though it is an issue to use their phones at school but what some teachers are trying to instill upon their students is how detrimental it is to their education and their ability to study and focus.  Although cell phones can be very convenient, especially now with the boom of smart phones, can tell you where you are, what you need to know and why you need to know it.  The new generations of cell phones is what makes people all over constantly craving the technology, especially teens.  Teens find the constant need to be in communication with their friends twenty four  hours a day, seven days a week and feel as though texting and using their cell phones is the most convenient way to do so.
